Everybody’s Changing (bp coyle)

My wife was the first one.

The first of them to Change..

One day as she was writing out a list of things she wanted me to pick up from the grocery store something seemed odd. Something seemed very wrong.

It took me a moment to work out what it was. She was holding the pen in her right hand.

A couple of days later I noticed my son doing his math homework with his right hand too. Both had always been left handed.

After that I began to spot it everywhere, there were way too many people using their right hands for things. Throwing a ball in the park, passing over items in the shops, signing checks.

I remember reading somewhere long ago that about 90% of the world is left handed.

When I checked that on Google, it said 80%. I checked again a couple of days later and in was at 65%.

Earlier today the figures had decreased to just 30%. I don’t know where it will stop.

And the writing is just the tip of the iceberg. They are all different somehow. Not real. Not quite human.

But this all began with my wife.

So maybe, just maybe….
